Activities, Events, Clubs & Committees
There are numerous annual events throughout the year at Spring Creek including community garage sales, pool opening celebrations and a variety of educational and holiday celebrations.
Activities, Events, Clubs & Committees:
Spring Creek Community Club (SCCC)
The Community Club's mission is to make Spring Creek a better place to live and enjoy. Some of the activities include meetings to update and plan volunteer events, social gatherings, educational sessions, community enhancements including flag placement for holidays and Christmas decorations. Community service includes mail post painting, park maintenance and small planting projects, and outreach to Louisa County through the Louisa County Resource Council. Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Community Room at the Sports Clubhouse. All residents are welcome to attend.
For many children, school meals may be the only meals they eat. What happens when they go home over the weekend? Backpack drives help children get the nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they need to get enough to eat on the weekends.
Currently, there are a few different book clubs in Spring Creek. Reach out to join a waiting list or start a new group.
There are several Bunco groups. Reach out to start your own Bunco group or join a waiting list!
Come play Canasta on the third Wednesday of each month in the Sports Club Community Room from 6:30-9pm. All levels of play from beginner to experienced are welcome.

One way Spring Creek residents donate to the Louisa County Resource Council (LCRC) is by recycling. Cardboard is recycled at the cardboard shed, which is to the right of the Sports Club. The recycled cardboard is picked up by the LCRC; and after they sell it, they use the money to provide clothing, food and other forms of assistance to the needy residents of Louisa County, louisaresource.org.
Between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, recycled cardboard generated $2,845.80 to LCRC. Those funds were used for operating expenses required for the LCRC hunger relief work. Recycled cardboard prices are steadily climbing and, thanks to the great work by the Spring Creek community, a greater impact is anticipated in the future. The cardboard shed is maintained by a number of community volunteers.
Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy
Taught by Louisa County Sheriff's Office, the Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy is a program designed to give individuals, who are not sworn law enforcement officers, an overview of the Louisa County Sheriff's Office (LCSO). Graduates of the course will have a better understanding of the operation of the LCSO, and a greater awareness and appreciation of the challenges faced by LCSO deputies each day.
Instructors offer classes in Yoga, Cardio, stretching and water aerobics. See the Spring Creek Current Newsletter for the current class schedule.
The Kitchen Committee manages matters pertaining to the Sports Clubhouse kitchen which is between the Community Room and the Small Meeting/Game Room. The committee recently installed new cabinets, granite counters, an ice machine, warming oven, microwave and refrigerator and is still working on a few finishing touches.
Lending Library Committee
The Lending Library volunteers sort and place the donated books and DVDs on the shelves.
Mah Jongg meets every Thursday at 1:00pm at the Sports Club. All levels of play are welcome.
Spring Creek has a monthly digital newsletter called Spring Creek Current which is emailed to subscribers on the first of each month. The newsletter provides news, announcements and a calendar of events. Subscribe today!
Pickleball clinics and games for beginners to advanced participants are held Saturday mornings and weekdays. Start time varies with season...hot summer is typically 8-10am.
Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using small rackets. Send an email to the contact below if you have an interest in Ping Pong.
Spring Creek adopts Louisa County families though the Louisa County Santa Council program. With donations from Spring Creek community members, the Santa Council provides a Christmas dinner and grocery gift cards to help with meals during the school break, as well as clothes, toys and books for each child, and small gifts and household items needed for adults.
Sports and Fitness Committee
The Sports and Fitness Committee manages matters pertaining to the Sports Clubhouse, fitness center, pool, walking trails, and the playground.
All-level game play is enjoyed weekdays and weekends. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a match.
