Cardboard Recycling
One way Spring Creek residents donate to the Louisa County Resource Council (LCRC) is by recycling. We recycle cardboard at the cardboard shed, which is to the right of the Sports Club. Our recycled cardboard is picked up by the LCRC; and after they sell it, they use the money to provide clothing, food and other forms of assistance to the needy residents of Louisa County, louisaresource.org

Between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, recycled cardboard generated $2,845.80 to LCRC. Those funds were used for operating expenses required for the LCRC hunger relief work. The news for this coming year will be even better! Recycled cardboard prices are steadily climbing and, thanks to the great work by the Spring Creek community, a larger number is anticipated for the current fiscal year. The cardboard shed is manned by a number of community volunteers.
